Good Practices in Gastronomy Development across ASEAN

We are looking for ten practical, locally grounded cases that show how gastronomy can help entrepreneurs build stronger businesses, create useful innovation and generate value for local economies.

What kinds of cases are we seeking?

  • Initiatives rooted in local ingredients, foodways, people and places.
  • Practical approaches that entrepreneurs, communities or cities can learn from.
  • Evidence of business development, innovation, capability building or local economic benefit.
  • Honest lessons—including challenges, adaptations and what made the work possible.

Who can contribute?

Practitioners, entrepreneurs, community organisations, educators, researchers, networks, cities and public agencies working in ASEAN gastronomy development are invited to propose a case.

What selected contributors receive

  • Inclusion in a curated regional collection of ten ASEAN cases.
  • Editorial support to make the case practical, clear and useful to others.
  • Regional visibility through AGN communication and knowledge-sharing activities.
  • Planned presentation as part of the collection launch during ATF 2027 in Singapore.

How to submit

Use the AGN contribution form to introduce the case, the people and place behind it, the challenge addressed, the practical approach, results and lessons. Supporting links may be included. The AGN team will contact shortlisted contributors for additional information.

Coordination: This regional knowledge initiative is co-created by Thailand Gastronomy Network and Indonesia Gastronomy Network through the ASEAN Gastronomy Network.
